Bitzee™, the digital pet sensation, is launching in Australia and taking playtime to new heights. Bitzee goes beyond the 2D screen, bringing virtual pets to life in a 3D world. Once their purple pod is opened, Bitzee pets come to life with an innovative, full colour display that you can touch, feel, and interact with, offering an all new play experience for kids.

Spin Master, a leading global children's entertainment company, is launching Bitzee (RRP $49.99) in Australia from June. Bitzee starts as an 8-bit baby character. Just like a real pet, Bitzee needs love and care to help it grow. Virtual interactions allow you to feed them, rock them to sleep and clean up after them too. They will respond to your tilts, swipes, and shakes with adorable sounds and reactions.

If you don't give your pet enough love, they'll run away, but they can always be coaxed back with a treat and some extra attention. When the love meter is full, that means your Bitzee is ready to evolve. Each Bitzee evolves from baby, to adult, to a super Bitzee.

Once your pet becomes a super Bitzee, discover their special outfit and unique game to play – like Mouse Chef's catch the falling ingredients or Unicorn Party Animal's break the piñata game. They'll even give you a virtual treat to attract your next pet!

There's 15 Bitzee toy pets in the one pod that kids can collect, including Puppy, Hedgehog, and Bunny, and even rarer Butterfly, Poodle, and Chameleon characters. Mythical creatures including Mercat and Unicorn characters will also be available.

Bitzee will be available for pre-sale on Amazon on 1 June and at all major toy retailers from mid-July. Recommended for children ages 5+.

Review: What great innovations, digital pet that you can touch. What child doesn't love a pet, but it's not always a reality, this pocket size digital pet will keep your animal lover entertained.  You can take care of up to 15 pets and they level up fast so kids don't get too bored. It looks like a hologram but you can touch it from the top unlike other virtual pets of old. May need to restrict children who are sensitive to flashing light, but overall it's a great like pocket game.  The games are simple but fun and the animals generic and cute.
