Most recently Fitzgerald brought to life the undead zombie 'Ghoulia Yelps' in the live-action film MONSTER HIGH: THE MOVIE (Nickelodeon and Paramount+) which has already been greenlit for a sequel based on its' success. Directed by Todd Holland ("Malcolm in the Middle", "Black-ish"), MONSTER HIGH: THE MOVIE is a cross between HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL and THE ADDAMS FAMILY-style romp that is based on the extremely popular Monster High fashion dolls first launched by Mattel. Fitzgerald stars as 'Ghoulia Yelps', a zombie who is the best gamer and smartest student at Monster High.

While working on the MONSTER HIGH, Fitzgerald began secretly writing her first YA fantasy novel. She soon found that as soon as she began writing, she couldn't stop, and The Last Montmorency saga was born. Far in the future, earth has split apart into thousands of islands dangling between the stars. Privateers search for relics, artifacts, and manuscripts that were lost when the earth split, ships sail the stars like they once sailed oceans, and banished Olde Beings lurk in the Mysts between the islands. Welcome to the broken world. Stuck in steerage on the maiden voyage of the luxury airship the Halthow, sixteen-year-old 'Anya Marcox' is determined to make her brother happy by accepting the fate their dead father used to recite to her like a prayer: average lives for average girls. But when an encounter with a dashing stranger lands Anya in the middle of a cutthroat race to find a relic that could change the fate of the islands, average is no longer an option. Compelled by the whispering of the stars that have always promised her something more, Anya finds herself secretly working as a privateer"and falling for her partner in crime. But her treasure hunt through the stars soon turns deadly: the nightmares are getting worse . . . and Anya is beginning to wonder if they're more than just dreams. The fantasy YA novel is slated for an April 4th release through DartFrog books. The saga is one that she would love to eventually adapt into a series for television or film.

Born in the small Silver Star Mountain town of Okanagan in British Columbia, Canada, Fitzgerald grew up "mountain schooled" with nature as her classroom, spending most of her time outside. From the moment that she realized that the people on her TV screen were real, she knew that she wanted to be an actor. At the age of 4 she convinced her mother to let her do theatre and she was cast in a local production of The Sound of Music. She began going to auditions in Vancouver and at the age of 7 booked a small role on the CW series "Hellcats" opposite Ashley Tisdale. Famed choreographer Debbie Allen, who directed the series, told her she should get into dancing and shortly thereafter she began taking ballet. At the age of 11 she was awarded the prestigious LEO AWARD for "Lead Performance by a Female in a Television Movie" for her work in the film MY NEW BEST FRIEND, beating out adult actors and making her one of the youngest stars to win the award. While in Los Angeles for acting work she began training with the Los Angeles Ballet Company, performing in The Nutcracker. Shortly thereafter she booked a series regular role on the Canadian series "Darrow & Darrow" starring opposite Wendie Malick and Kimberly Williams-Paisley, which helped her develop her comedic acting chops. Fitzgerald is also well known for her work on notable films SEVENTH SON opposite Julianne Moore, Alicia Vikander, and Jeff Bridges, and EVERYTHING WILL BE FINE opposite James Franco and Rachel McAdams. She additionally starred in the 2021 film HONEY GIRLS for Sony Pictures opposite pop singer Ashanti. She has also appeared in television shows such as Netflix's "Devil in Ohio", Bravo's "Girlfriends Guide to Divorce," A+E's "The Returned", the CW's "Supernatural", Hallmark's "When Calls the Heart", and UPtv's "Date My Dad" opposite Raquel Welch.

When not working on set or writing her next book, Fitzgerald loves spending time with nature or sailing. A skilled sailor who has won a Bronze Medal for a sailing regatta, she loves being on the water and protecting ocean life. Vegan since the age of 7, she is passionate about the environment and saving wildlife.
